Sajeed A. is an award-winning filmmaker whose work explores human stories through magical realism, blending culture, music and folklore. He began his career at MTV India in the 2000s, creating youth shows such as MTV Bakra and MTV Most Wanted, and later headed video content at 101India.com, championing subculture and counterculture storytelling.

His documentaries include The Man Who Planted a Forest, recognised at Jackson Wild and Ekotop; MC Kash, on Kashmiri hip-hop; and Monsoon, winner of Best Documentary at Montecatini (2018).
